Laura Skibo
Laura received her Bachelors of Arts at University of Calgary and her Masters of Science in Communications Disorders from California State University- Northridge.
Much of Laura’s early career was spent on a Craniofacial team,supporting children with cleft lip and palates, while living in Hermosa Beach, California. She also has vast professional experience working both as a medical based clinician; supporting children with complex medical needs ( complex airway, neuromuscular disorders, eating, feeding, swallowing etc), and as a private based clinician. Within this role, Laura has dedicated her time to early intervention and sharing the importance of play and pre- linguistic skills in communication development.
When not working with her families, Laura is busy being a dance and theater mom to her 15 year old daughter. When away from the stage, Laura, her husband Mark, daughter and fur daughter; Nibbles, love to hike, camp and spend time watching movies.
Kate Dole
Kate received her Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics from U of C and Master’s degree in SLP from U of A. She has a heart for helping others advance in their communication skills and develop meaningful connections with others. She has experience working in schools, preschools and daycares. She was Rae-Anne’s student over 12 years ago!
Kate’s personal experience with orthodontic relapse and her daughters thumb sucking habit led her to the fascinating world of myofunctional therapy. She completed the myofunctional training course and offers myofunctional assessments and treatments.
Kate is a mother to four children and has a love for learning that she enjoys sharing with others. In her free time, she enjoys making memories with her family, photography, creating art and working on home projects.
Amanda Milligan
Amanda received her Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics from the University of Victoria and her Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Alberta. The majority of her professional experience has been dedicated to supporting preschool children in developing speech, language, and communication skills.
Amanda prioritizes genuine connections with her clients and their families, creating an environment of trust and understanding. Her therapy sessions are filled with enthusiasm and encouragement, where every bit of progress is cheered on!
Outside of work, Amanda is an advocate for maintaining a balanced lifestyle. She loves getting outside for a hike, walk or bike ride, immersing herself in a good book, solving puzzles, and catching up on some reality TV.
Ashley Dalsgaard
Ashley is a Speech-Language Pathologist with over 10 years of experience supporting children and families across Alberta. She enjoys working across all areas of speech and language development and has a special interest in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Supporting children in finding their voice, whether through speech, gestures, or communication devices, is one of the most rewarding parts of her work.
She completed both her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Minot State University and has spent most of her career working with preschool and early elementary-aged children. She believes children learn best through connection, play, and meaningful experiences, and strives to create a supportive environment where children and families feel understood, respected, and empowered.
When she is not working, you’ll usually find her spending time with friends, family, and her many pets! She loves exploring the mountains and capturing special moments through photography.
Jan-Marie Bucholtz
Jan-Marie grew up in Calgary and graduated from Minot State University in 2010. She loves supporting children as they build their communication skills, with a special focus on speech sound disorders, Down syndrome, and cerebral palsy. Helping kids find their voice brings energy and joy to her work every day.
When Jan-Marie is not at work, she is with her two boys—skiing, playing tennis, exploring outside, or cheering for our favourite hockey teams. Life with them keeps her moving, learning, and having fun!
