Kate Dole
Kate received her Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics from U of C and Master’s degree in SLP from U of A. She has a heart for helping others advance in their communication skills and develop meaningful connections with others. She has experience working in schools, preschools and daycares. She was Rae-Anne’s student over 12 years ago!
Kate’s personal experience with orthodontic relapse and her daughters thumb sucking habit led her to the fascinating world of myofunctional therapy. She completed the myofunctional training course and offers myofunctional assessments and treatments.
Kate is a mother to four children and has a love for learning that she enjoys sharing with others. In her free time, she enjoys making memories with her family, photography, creating art and working on home projects.
Tracey Whiteside
Tracey attended U of A for her Masters Degree in Speech Pathology. She has worked in specialized settings, preschools and schools for the last 20 years. She believes in working collaboratively with families to help kids reach their communicative goals. She has a gentle and kind demeanour that immediately make children feel at ease.
When she is not working with the Calgary West SLP Team, she can be found walking her sweet dog, Oakley, or reading a book at her cabin in BC. She loves to golf and ski with her husband and have dinner with friends.
Laura Skibo
Laura received her Bachelors of Arts at University of Calgary and her Masters of Science in Communications Disorders from California State University- Northridge.
Much of Laura’s early career was spent on a Craniofacial team,supporting children with cleft lip and palates, while living in Hermosa Beach, California. She also has vast professional experience working both as a medical based clinician; supporting children with complex medical needs ( complex airway, neuromuscular disorders, eating, feeding, swallowing etc), and as a private based clinician. Within this role, Laura has dedicated her time to early intervention and sharing the importance of play and pre- linguistic skills in communication development.
When not working with her families, Laura is busy being a dance and theater mom to her 15 year old daughter. When away from the stage, Laura, her husband Mark, daughter and fur daughter; Nibbles, love to hike, camp and spend time watching movies.
Amanda Milligan
Amanda received her Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics from the University of Victoria and her Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Alberta. The majority of her professional experience has been dedicated to supporting preschool children in developing speech, language, and communication skills.
Amanda prioritizes genuine connections with her clients and their families, creating an environment of trust and understanding. Her therapy sessions are filled with enthusiasm and encouragement, where every bit of progress is cheered on!
Outside of work, Amanda is an advocate for maintaining a balanced lifestyle. She loves getting outside for a hike, walk or bike ride, immersing herself in a good book, solving puzzles, and catching up on some reality TV.
Zoe Parkinson-Fisher
Zoe has spent most of her career working with the pediatric population. She received both her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders and her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at Minot State University. Zoe has special interests in working with late talkers and stuttering.
Zoe is passionate about speech-language pathology and strives to provide the best comprehensive services she can for each individual client. She believes collaboration between parents, the child, and other professionals is essential in supporting the child as a whole. Zoe is certified to provide It Takes Two to Talk® – The Hanen Program® for Parents of Children with Language Delays, Target Word™ – The Hanen Program® for Parents of Children who are Late Talkers and Learning Language and Loving It™ – The Hanen Program® for Early Childhood Educators/Teachers. Additionally, she is trained in both the Lidcombe Program for Stuttering in Young Children and Palin Parent-Child Interaction Therapy for Early Childhood Stammering.
When Zoe is not seeing clients, she spends most of her time with her children, husband, and dog. Zoe loves to travel but hasn’t found a view better than the Rocky Mountains.
